aB is an interactive installation about the idea of "path".
The installation spans two spaces. One (space 'a') with an overhead camera that captures people's movement, and another (space 'B') where that information is translated to image.

The idea of path is linked to the idea of trace. When we walk our paths we leave tracks behind. aB presents a dichotomy in that causality: passers-by in space 'a' affect the installation with their chosen paths, but have no feedback of their actions, whereas visitors of space 'B' have only access to the tracks other people left, unable to imprint traces of their own.

aB was inspired by the short-story "The Garden of Forking Paths", by Jorge Luís Borges.
